The DNC is up with a new ad pressuring Congress to act on healthcare. The ad is funded by Organizing for America, but rather than attacking Republicans, it targets moderate Democrats.
In addition to Washington, D.C., the ad is placed in Florida, Nebraska, Indiana, Louisiana, North Dakota, Arkansas, Maine, and Ohio. Aside from Maine and Ohio, each of these states has at least one moderate Democratic senator. The Maine and Ohio ads are targeted at those states’ moderate Republican senators.
While third party groups often go up against moderates on their own side of the aisle, it is rare for a political party to air ads pressuring its own members.
