Welcome to my new blog. This will be my attempt to comment on politics, breaking news, and culture. I also aim to offer a humorous look at life Inside the Beltway.
I have been told by friends over the past few months that I should start blogging. I was slow to heed their advice. I’m very opinionated, but I have no delusions that anyone should care what I think. I realized, however, that I may be able to spark some interesting debate particularly in relation to the disillusionment many Republicans feel with our own party.
My expertise is political news, so that will be the blog’s focus. If you disagree with me (as most people do), please post comments. I’m not always right, and I enjoy hearing other opinions.
For those of you who hate politics, I’ll be blogging about culture and life, as well. I guarantee there are few better ways to cheer yourself up than reading about me, along with my frequent use of self-deprecating truths.
The name “War Room Alerts” is a result of a venture I began late last year. While many of the original plans have ceased, I already own the domain. I’m now putting it to good use. My political experience is in war rooms and rapid response, so the title seems fitting for what I aim to create.
Beginning Tuesday, I’ll be offering a morning breakdown of top political news stories. This is a good reason to check back frequently. You’ll be able to start your day knowing the most relevant news, and then watch throughout the day for my cogent analysis.
I’m not aiming to make this an all-encompassing news source (as was originally intended with my business), but I think it will be a fun endeavor for me. If I’m able to get even a small number of readers, it will be worthwhile.
